During press runs, misregistration caused by paper stretch creates slight
gaps between colors where the white of the paper shows through.
Trapping, for those of you that are unfamiliar with the term, is the process of
reducing (choke) or enlarging (spread) abutting colors to create a slight
overlap along the edges of the colors. This overlap is called a trap and reduces
the problem of misregistration.
Can trap files no matter what application or platform (Mac/PC) created it (as long as it can be saved as an EPS file).
Not only traps between bitmap and vector objects, but will trap within bitmap images.
Traps complete page at bitmap level instead of object level.
Can achieve better results than a stripper can photomechanically.
Runs on a PowerPC 8100/100 with 80 megs of RAM and 1Gig HD
